Dental nurses assist dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and treatment, prepare instruments and are responsible for hygiene and sterilisation at the clinic. Training is offered in higher vocational education and adult education, among other routes. Dental nurses work both in the Public Dental Service (Folktandvården) and at private clinics, and pay varies mainly with experience and employer.
